Richmond Land Use Bylaws -- Project Status
The result of the voting on the Land Use Bylaws on November 6, 2012 was that the proposal was defeated by 925 yes, and 1324 no. Over the coming months the Planning Commission and Richmond Selectboard will consider how to move forward with any new proposed bylaw amendments in the future. In the meantime, if you have a particular concern with the defeated proposal, please email comments to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. It is important for us to understand what parts of the proposal were not supported by the community, and where you believed that the changes were an improvement.
In the meantime, the Planning Commission is making proposed changes to the current Richmond Zoning Regulations. Information about public information sessions, public hearings, and the proposed changes can be found in the "Documents" section of the Richmond web site and at the Planning & Zoning Office.
Copies of the Richmond Zoning & Subdivision Regulations which were defeated in November are available at the Town Offices located at 203 Bridge Street in Richmond, Vermont. For more information, please contact Cathleen Gent, Richmond Town Planner/Staff to the DRB at 434-2430.
